Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced CT Technologist in Waterbury, CT to join our mission-driven health system. This part-time, rotating-shift role focuses on performing CT examinations, including angiography, with emphasis on patient safety and imaging quality.

You will operate imaging equipment, apply radiation safety practices, prepare contrast, and communicate findings to radiologists, while supporting departmental policies and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified CT scan program.
• ARDT Radiography certification and CT licensure required.
• State licensure as a Radiographer; CT certification within two years if eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT examinations including angiography with attention to safety and quality.
• Selects imaging techniques, ensures infection control and radiation protection.
• Administers contrast intravenously and monitors patient safety during procedures.
• Reviews exams with radiologists and communicates pertinent data to care teams.

Position Purpose

Performs all required CAT Scan Examinations to include angiography.

What You Will Do

• Selects the appropriate software/hardware and equipment imaging techniques. Knowledge of radiation safety & protection along with appropriate infection control policies implemented by the department and hospital.
• Ability to assess patient’s condition performs intravenous injections of CT contrast and ensures patient safety through proper use of equipment.
• Ability to reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents competed exams to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education Completion of Certified CAT scan program.
• Licensure: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiography and CAT scan. State licensure as a Radiographer. Registry eligible candidates have two years from date of hire to obtain the CT certification.
• Experience: 1-year working in a CAT Scan Technologist capacity preferred.
