Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team. This full-time position (36 hours/week) supports night shifts and provides patient-centered CT imaging across Surgery, ED, Pain Center and Imaging department.

The role emphasizes adherence to patient safety protocols, accurate documentation, and collaboration with Radiologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

• Current BCLS certification is required.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Stand by/Call duties are required.
• High school diploma or BS degree preferred by employer.

Responsibilities

• Corroborate patient history with procedure and ensure documentation is ready for Radiologist.
• Prepare patients for procedures and verify correct patient, parameters, protocol, imaging site and exam.
• Establish and maintain intravenous access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and proper patient identification.

This CT Technologist opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. This individual will perform a variety of imaging procedures in Surgery, Emergency Department, Pain Center and the Imaging Department and is responsible for patient safety protocols. This individual is responsible for knowing all related policy and procedures and functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Corroborating patient’s clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the Radiologist


• Preparing patients for procedures and verifies Correct patient, Correct parameters, correct protocol, Correct Imaging site, Correct exam


• Starting and maintaining intravenous access as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.


• Evaluating images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
