Job summary

NorthPointe Clinic is seeking a Per Diem CT Technologist to join our Radiology team in Illinois. The CT Technologist will perform imaging procedures, operate CT equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality images for interpretation.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Radiography program with an IL radiographer license and ARRT certification. CT certification is preferred on hire and must be obtained within one year of training; CPR within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Radiography school.
• Current IL Radiographer license and ARRT Certification.
• CT Certification preferred upon hire (required within one year of training completion).
• CPR certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic CT imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician.
• Operates CT equipment and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Maintains accurate patient records and adheres to radiation safety principles.
• Applies QA/QI practices and assists with imaging quality control.
• Supervises and teaches radiology students as needed.

NorthPointe Clinic is looking to add a Per Diem CT Technologist to our Team!

• Schedule: 7a -8p
• Hours per week: Varied - Per Diem

In this position the CT Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician, performs radiologic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician, and apply principles of radiation protection. The CT Technologist will evaluate radiographs for technical quality, and exercise professional judgement in the performance of procedures.

• Performs diagnostic radiographic services
• Operates imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to the patient, self, and others
• Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
• Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs patients during procedures
• Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required.
• Assists physician with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
• Ensures proper documentation
• Performs quality control checks as required.
• Maintains accurate patient records and files with confidentiality, performing all PACs functions
• Assumes responsibility for portions of department QA/QI program
• Supervises, assists, instructs, and communicates effectively with radiology students

JOB REQUIREMENTS
