Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a CT technologist to join our radiology team. You will prepare patients, perform CT procedures per protocol, ensure safety, and provide patient education with compassion.

Candidates must have ARRT-approved radiologic technology program, BLS, ARRT variants, CA CRT license and fluoroscopy authorization, plus at least one year of modality experience. The job offers a collaborative environment at a world-class medical network.

Qualifications

• Completion of ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
• Imaging Registered Rad Tech certification (ARRT/ARMRIT/ARDMS) required.
• CA Radiologic Tech Certification (CRT) and Fluoroscopy license required.
• 1 year minimum experience in each relevant imaging modality.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and checks patients prior to CT procedure.
• Performs CT procedures per protocol and daily QA.
• Educates patients regarding CT procedures, equipment and exam.
• Ensures patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• May rotate through imaging modalities, sites, and locations.
• May assist with scheduling of patients.
• Acquires, archives, transmits and prints images via PACS.
• Reports malfunctions and maintains equipment uptime.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares and checks patients prior to CT procedure.
• Acquires patient questionnaire, chart, data/requisition and reviews all to determine contraindication of having CT examination.
• Verifies and validates patient screening safety form. Performs CT procedures required per protocol and performs daily QA.
• Performs VNA punctures and maintains competencies.
• Educates patients regarding CT procedures, equipment and exam.
• Ensures patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• May assist with scheduling of patients as needed.
• Administers proper contrast related to patient having CT exam.
• Acquires, archives, transmits and prints images via PACS. When applicable, completes after hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork.
• Performs Daily and Monthly CT QC.
• Immediately reports any malfunctions; observes potential equipment dysfunctions and reports problems or calls for service.
• Maintains available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility.
• Learns new technical information and skills.
• May be required to rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Completion of course in Radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required

Licenses/Certifications

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required
• Imaging Registered Rad Tech certification with relevant accrediting body (ARRT, ARMRIT, ARDMS) required
• Imaging CA Radiologic Tech Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)- CA State License. required
• Fluoroscopy License required

Work Experience

• 1 year minimum one year experience in each relevant modality required
