Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures and create a comfortable environment.
• Position patient and set technical factors to ensure quality studies.
• Operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images.
• Administer contrast media as directed.
• Monitor patient for adverse events and report.
• Perform routine QA on equipment and identify malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties as needed, e.g., answering phones.
