Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed CT Technologist for a full-time Days position at the Freestanding ER in Trinity.

You will perform diagnostic CT exams across brain, spine, thorax, abdomen, and more, with attention to patient care and safety. Responsibilities include image acquisition, contrast administration, and coordination with radiologists.

Requirements: ARRT CT, Florida license, BLS, and 2+ years in diagnostic radiology. On-call duties may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Two-year/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved program.
• ARRT CT certification and active Florida licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years diagnostic radiology experience, preferably in acute care.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Select proper factors and perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately and compassionately.
• Operate CT equipment, injector, laser filmer, and teleradiology systems.
• Administer contrast media and related procedures.
• Position patients while maintaining modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information and obtain consent; complete fields in MEDITECH.
• Ensure high-quality CT images and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Stay current with protocols via in-service training and courses.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and care team.
• Be available for on-call and callback as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

CT Technologist Freestanding Emergency Room

We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed CT Technologist on a full-time basis. As a CT Technologist, you will be competent in all of the following: brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper/lower extremities, sella, and biopsies. We priorate patient care; if you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.

As a CT Technologist, your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Select proper technical factors for study then perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations accuratelyin a caring, compassionate and respectful manner
• Possess sound and thorough operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system
• Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Obtain high-quality CT images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
• Remain proficient in executing software protocols and keep up to date with changes in the field by in-service study, attending courses or seminars as necessary/recommended
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology at an accredited, AMA-approved institution, to include hospital training
• ARRT (CT) certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certification
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Minimum of 2 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology (X-Ray or CT), preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
