Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations with high-quality diagnostic images for diverse patient ages. The role operates on a night shift with weekend rotation, under the guidance of a Radiologist.

The team emphasizes patient safety, accurate data capture in RIS, and adherence to radiation protection policies. The candidate should be ARRT-certified in Radiology (with CT within 12 months of hire) and hold a current BLS certificate.

Qualifications

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Radiology).
• ARRT CT certification within 12 months of hire.
• State of Washington Department of Health Radiologic Technologist certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per established protocols.
• Ensure diagnostic-quality exams for all ages.
• Obtain patient history and enter into RIS.
• Position patients with safety and professional care.
• Use radiation shielding to protect self and patient.
• Critique images to ensure quality CT examinations.
• Administer IV radiopharmaceuticals/contrast per policy.
• Respond to adverse reactions to contrast or emergencies.
• Record radiation dosages as prescribed.
• Review images in PACS for radiologist dictation.
• Follow Radioactive Materials License standards.
• Maintain QA records and safety compliance.
• Assist in training new staff.
