Qualifications

• Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)
• State licensure (where required)
• Demonstrated CT proficiency
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol.
• Understands cross sectional anatomy and demonstrates anatomical positioning competency.
• Follows ALARA radiation safety protocol.
• Maintains quality images and administers contrast as ordered.
• Provides patient education and comfort.
• Operates CT equipment and related information systems.
