Job summary

Salem Health is seeking a CT technologist at Salem Hospital to join our CT Scanning team. This full-time, non-exempt role offers 36 hours per week with a 6:00 pm–6:30 am schedule spanning Friday through Sunday, plus on-the-job paid training to advance radiologic technologists into CT specialization.

You will perform CT exams, review patient history, document findings, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced hospital setting. Growth opportunities and supportive mentorship are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an imaging technology program approved by licensing bodies.
• Radiography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
• Radiology license with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of CT exams, selecting appropriate imaging protocols.
• Gather patient history or perform supplemental images to support clinical diagnosis.
• Use clinical judgment to adapt procedures to patient needs and cooperation.
• Accurately document patient history, signs and symptoms, and scan details.
• Input orders and charges into EPIC and ensure records are complete and compliant.
• Safely operate imaging equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Utilize Radiant, PACS, and EPIC systems to manage orders and workflow.
• Adhere to medication reconciliation protocols and keep procedure rooms stocked.
• Maintain excellent communication to support teamwork.
