Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist in Fredericksburg, VA, to perform CT examinations and prepare high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. You will ensure accurate patient identification, verify orders, document histories, and support the CT cross-training program for students.

The role requires ARRT or NMTCB CT certification, 6 months CT experience or completed cross-training, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB CT certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Six months’ CT-related experience or completion of MWHC/MIF cross-training program.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• Advanced ARRT or NMTCB CT certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for CT examinations by verifying orders, patient identity, and histories.
• Performs CT exams across age groups with competency; adheres to policies and quality standards.
• Maintains radiation safety practices for patients and staff with principles of time, distance, and shielding.
• Supervises and supports CT cross-training and radiologic technology students.
• Manages supplies and documents data for efficient department operations and billing.
• Participates in PDCA-based performance improvement activities for the CT Section.

Education

ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology

NMTCB (CNMT) registered

6 months relevant CT experience or cross-training

American Heart Association CPR
