Job summary

Under the general direction of the Radiology Manager, the CT Technologist will perform CT/Radiological testing and treatment in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies, and procedures. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality.

The position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast-paced and dynamic

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school and completion of an Accredited Radiological Technology Program.
• Must have and maintain a current BLS CPR and ARRT membership and CT registration or be supervised by a CT-registered technologist.
• Six months to one year experience in healthcare CT or radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiology exams in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with medical staff and other departments to ensure patient safety and care quality.
• Administer oral, rectal and IV contrast as ordered and assist with patient preparation.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data input and filing.
• Provide education to patients and act as a preceptor for new staff when needed.
