Qualifications

• Accredited Radiology program completed.
• ARRT-CT certification with Florida state requirements (within 1 year).
• BLS/Emergency credential required (AHA/ECARD).
• ARRT RT registration within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take on-call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Charge appropriately for all supplies used for procedures and use correct exam codes.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze images and identify quality issues; reposition or repeat as needed.
• Review patient history and physician orders to ensure appropriate imaging.
• Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure understanding.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging.
• Select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implement safety standards and quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues.
• Administer contrast media or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes.

ARRT CT Certification within 1 year

BLS Certification
