GENERAL SUMMARY:


Shift: PRN, shift and hours will vary, this is a fill in position


Location: 36750 26 Mile Road Chesterfield Township, MI 48047


This is a multimodality position and will include both CT and general X-Ray scanning.


Perform a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries. - Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. - Implement radiation protection and safety standards. - Prepare, perform and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures. - Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. - Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. - Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. - Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). - Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.


CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:



  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

  • One or more of the following required:


o Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


o Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


ADDITIONAL PREFERNCES:



  • ARRT (R) required CT experience required; certification preferred
