Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a skilled Radiology CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT exams per orders, ensure patient safety, and follow infection control and PPE protocols in a fast-paced imaging department.

Candidates should have ARRT-CT or RT(MR)ARRT certification, BLS, and 3+ years of radiology experience. The role is based in Orlando, FL with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years radiology experience preferred.
• Maintain required radiology licenses and registrations.
• BLS certification required; ARRT-CT or RT MR-ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations per provider orders and departmental protocols.
• Review patient history to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications.
• Utilize CT scanners and workstations; ensure optimal image quality for diagnosis.
• Follow infection control standards and PPE usage.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.

Job Description:

Shift: PRN (Per Diem) as needed to include overnight, weekends, holidays

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
• Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as Fuji/Agfa PACS application, CT scanners and workstations Siemens SyngoVia, EMR such as Cerner/Epic. [Required]
• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures. [Required]
• Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures. [Required]
• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, shielding and distance to keep exposure levels as low as reasonably achievable for patients and staff. [Required]
• Ability to complete exams in an acceptable time frame to meet ED/Observation TAT goals. [Required]
• Ability to assess, start and confirm appropriate placement of IV’s for use in CT studies. [Required]
• The ability to assess, explain and perform CT and XR studies on patients of all ages. [Required]
• Ability to learn and complete CTA Reconstructions. Specifically, Cardiac CTA. [Required]
• Past CTA Reconstruction skills [Preferred]

Education:

• High School Grad or equivalent [Required]
• Associate [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 3+ years radiology experience [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$26.08 - $53.35
