Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist II to deliver safe, accurate diagnostic imaging and support physicians with high-quality studies in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, Florida RT licensure, ARRT CT, and at least two years of CT experience, with BLS. Duties include patient positioning, contrast administration, and strict adherence to radiation safety and QC procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid Florida Radiologic Technologist licensure.
• ARRT certification (R) and (CT).
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum of two years CT experience and cross-training in imaging areas.

Responsibilities

• Exercise professional judgment in imaging services.
• Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful procedures.
• Comply with state and federal regulations for each modality.
• Adhere to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
• Assess patient condition and age-specific needs.
• Provide instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Position patient and equipment to achieve high-quality images.
• Assess images for quality, annotation, and patient identification.
• Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Participate in Quality Control tasks.
• Assist in contrast administration and venipuncture as prescribed.
• Respond to adverse reactions and emergencies.
• Maintain safety and PPE; keep area clean and organized.
• Supervise student technologists and train new technologists.
• Use radiology computer systems effectively.
• Maintain attendance and policy compliance.

Education

Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program

Florida Radiologic Technologist license

ARRT certification (R)
