Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Kentucky is seeking a professionally trained Radiology Technologist to produce high-quality radiographs and CT scans for interpretation.

You will demonstrate respect, dignity, and empathy for patients and families while adhering to safety standards, HIPAA guidelines, and hospital policies across all imaging procedures. Scheduled Hours: 36 per week; you will collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team to ensure timely, accurate imaging and exceptional patient

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program.

Responsibilities

  • Operates radiography and CT equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Computes and utilizes proper and safe exposure factors.
  • Ensures all screening of patient’s condition is complete prior to the initiation of the scan and remains aware after the CT Scan.
  • Performs routine maintenance in cleaning all equipment and follows HIPAA guidelines.
  • Accurately charges, codes and applies modifiers for procedures.
  • Reviews images for high quality; assists in QC/QA/ACR as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

Operates all equipment in an effective, safe and efficient manner

Computes and utilizes proper and safe radiation exposure factors.

Ensures all screening of patient’s condition is complete prior to the initiation of the scan and continue to be aware of the patient’s condition after the CT Scan.

Performs routine maintenance in cleaning all equipment. Complies with house-wide BSI precautions and follows recommendations.

Follow the safety steps required to perform their duties and be in compliance with medical, state and federal safety standards. They must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriately.

Must be proficient in all aspects of ordered CT procedures. This service provides diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist.

Effectively utilizes all necessary computer systems in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.

Obtains and records all patient data as required by the medical center, state, JCAHO or other agencies. Ensure proper charging of all procedures, coding, and modifiers are correct.

Reviews images for high quality. Assist in performing QC, QA, QI or ACR as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.
