Job summary

University of Vermont Health Network seeks a CT Technologist I for UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus in Burlington, VT. This per diem position operates CT equipment and supports radiology staff, radiology students, and new technologists under supervision, with potential weekend and on-call duties.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program, and ARRT or NMTCB-certified, with CT board certification targeted within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• CT board certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Less than one year of radiologic/CT technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform exams under the direction of Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists.
• Provide support to Radiography students and new technologists as needed.
• May work a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The CT Technologist I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the CT department. They operate a variety of CT equipment to perform CT exams according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists, utilizing ionizing radiation. The CT technologist I is expected to provide support to Radiography students, new technologists and other hospital personnel as needed. May be required to work a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

CT board certification required within 12 months of hire

EXPERIENCE:

Less than one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist.

This is a bargaining union position.
