Job summary

Adventist Health Glendale seeks a CT Technologist to operate CT, general radiography and fluoroscopy to produce diagnostic images for patient care. You will work with radiologists, maintain equipment and ensure patient safety.

Requirements include an ARRT CT certification, CA RT licensure, BLS, and an associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred). Experience with PACS/teleradiology is a plus; a patient‑centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• CA licensure required as Radiologic Tech.
• ARRT RT CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license required if operating fluoroscopy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Performs general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.
• Maintains accurate records and ensures patient data confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Performs routine calibration and maintenance of imaging equipment; manages supply inventory.
• Utilizes PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to appropriate location.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS)certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required

Essential Functions:

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
