Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a full-time CT Scan Technologist to perform all required CT examinations, including angiography, in a hospital setting.

Day shift positions involve joining a cohesive radiology team, ensuring radiation safety, administering CT contrast intravenously, and communicating results to the care team. ARRT CT registry preferred; licensure required with 1-year eligibility for exam if needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT Scan Registry preferred; must be graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1 year of CAT Scan Technologist experience preferred.
• State licensure as a Radiographer; Registry eligible candidates have one year from date of hire to provide licensure exam documentation.

Responsibilities

• Function as part of a cohesive team; Selects the appropriate software/hardware and imaging techniques.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and protection along with infection control policies.
• Ability to assess patient condition, administer IV CT contrast, and ensure patient safety.
• Review each examination for technical accuracy, present completed exams to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to care of the patient.

Position Purpose

• Performs all required CAT Scan Examinations to include angiography.

What you will do

• Function as part of a cohesive team Selects the appropriate software/hardware and equipment imaging techniques.
• Knowledge of radiation safety & protection along with appropriate infection control policies implemented by the department and hospital.
• Ability to assess patient’s condition performs intravenous injections of CT contrast and ensures patient safety through proper use of equipment.
• Ability to review each examination for technical accuracy, presents competed exams to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), CT Scan Registry preferred Must be graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: 1-year experience working in a CAT Scan Technologist capacity preferred.

• Certification: State licensure as a Radiographer. Registry eligible candidates have one year from date of hire to provide supporting documentation that they have passed the licensure exam.
