Job summary

Charlotte Radiology in Concord, NC is seeking a CT/X-ray technologist to perform imaging procedures with accuracy and ensure patient safety. The role involves reviewing orders, preparing paperwork, and coordinating with Radiologists for protocols and test changes.

You will operate CT scanners, X-ray equipment, and IV contrast injectors, while maintaining compliance with departmental standards and regulations. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• CT experience.
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registered in CT.
• BLS.
• Must be able to perform procedures in accordance to departmental protocols and standards.
• Operates CT scanners, X-ray equipment, IV contrast injectors O2 tanks.
• Computer literate and knowledgeable of CR programs.
• Must be up to date with local and federal regulations that apply to their licensure and role.
• Must be able to access all patient history to review any allergies that could interfere with the patient’s test.
• Must be able to communicate with the Radiologist or referring MD if a protocol needs to be obtained or a test needs to be altered.
• Must be able to report malfunctioning equipment to the Radiology engineer.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift the appropriate weight determined by CR (50-75 lbs.)
• Must have positive communication skills
• Performs basic patient care functions and informs the Radiologist or nurse of any change in the patient’s condition if needed
• Must be competent with IVs
• Travel required: 0 – 25%

Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (shift differential applies)

Location: Concord, NC

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs excellent patient care for all CT scan and x-rays. Quickly and accurately completes all paperwork to include orders, lab work and authorization confirmation. Monitoring the safety of patients pertaining to radiation and contrast dose.
