Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center in Hypoluxo, FL is seeking a CT Technologist for the Free Standing Emergency Department. This full-time role offers a 36-hour week with a day shift schedule and on-call coverage including holidays, performing CT imaging and related procedures.

You will join a team focused on patient-centered care, require Florida licensure and ARRT registrations, and participate in ongoing education within a large UHS network.

Qualifications

  • Current State of Florida license.
  • Current ARRT registry in Radiology.
  • Current ARRT registry in CT.
  • AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • English verbal and written fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver CT imaging for patients of all ages under radiologist supervision.
  • Operate CT equipment and perform procedures to aid diagnosis.
  • Maintain safety, accuracy, and patient care during exams.
  • Be available for on-call duties and respond within 30 minutes.
  • Cross-train and float to other areas as needed.
  • Support stroke alert protocol and communicate with radiologists.

CT Technologist – Free Standing ED – Hypoluxo

This is a fulltime opportunity with 36 hours a week. Day shift schedule: Wed, Fri, Sat 7am-730pm. w/ On-Call and Holidays. The ER at Hypoluxo offers 24/7 emergency care, board-certified emergency physicians, on-site imaging and laboratory services, modern, patient-friendly design, and seamless integration with Wellington Regional Medical Center.

Job Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Radiologist and the Department Manager, the CT technologist delivers Computed Tomography testing to patients of all age groups. The technologist utilizes equipment and technique to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures (including but not limited to, localization for biopsy, aspiration and or drainage procedures) to demonstrate anatomy and/or obtain specimens for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. He/she must be available for "on-call" duties and be prepared to arrive at the facility within thirty minutes of being notified. He/she must be capable of and willing to cross-train and float into others areas to meet the needs of the facility as well as capable and willing to assist in the cross-training and orientation of others into the department as requested. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Ensures immediate availability of CT scanner for Head CT of stroke alert patient. Calls Radiologist upon completion of stroke alert CT scans. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.
