Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado, seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT exams, maintain ARRT competencies, and ensure patient safety and comfort. The role requires state licensure, BLS, and appropriate CT experience.

You’ll work 36 hours across three 12-hour shifts and contribute to continuous education and quality imaging. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to mentor students and junior staff while staying current with CT

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (R) upon hire required
• Certified CT technologist ARRT (R)(CT) preferred
• BLS certification within 60 days required
• State licensure as applicable upon hire
• IV competency within 90 days required
• Colorado state facility fluoroscopy certification preferred
• Specific facility-based certifications may be required
• 1-2 years CT hospital experience preferred
• Level II: ARRT CT registration current
• Level II: BLS current or within 90 days of hire

• Stay updated on CT technology and protocols
• Assist and instruct students and junior technologists

Shift Details: 36 hours, three 12-hour shifts,

Monday - Wednesday 12:00pm-12:30am

If you have more than three years of experience as a CT Technologist, please refer to the additional qualification details outlined below for a Level II Technologist.

Essential Functions:Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job

Understand and operate CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure production of quality images.

Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.

Perform exams per department protocol.

Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring that all necessary anatomical structures are captured.

Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff.

Completes studies within acceptable time limitations per department expectations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.

Provide appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient and/or family concerns.

Coordinate patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.

Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.

Level I Technologist Minimum Qualifications:ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire, Required

Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT), Preferred

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days, Required

Licensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire, Required

IV Competency within 90 Days, Required

For caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification, Preferred

Specific facility-based certification may also be required for this role. If this applies, each facility will define and manage compliance

1-2 years Work Experience CT Experience in a hospital setting, Preferred

Level II Technologist Minimum Qualifications:Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration.

Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire (with prior approval).

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.

Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.

Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.
