Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for evening shifts. The role requires CT imaging across ER, inpatient and outpatient populations, with strict ALARA safety and precise RIS/PACS workflow.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities to work with a skilled imaging team. The candidate must hold ARRT registration (or registry-eligible) and MA licensure, with 2-year AMA‑accredited Radiologic Technology training and BLS

Qualifications

• Two-year AMA accredited program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Registration by the ARRT or registry-eligible; MA Department of Public Health Radiation Control licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging; ability to learn to competency within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents patient history to perform exams.
• Documents contrast use and allergy information in medical records.
• Performs CT exams with high accuracy and 100% correct RIS usage.
• Queries RIS/PACS and validates patient demographics and accession numbers.
• Maintains ALARA safety and adheres to department protocols.
• Contributes to team approach and supports on‑call and holiday rotation.

The technologist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining essential patient care and safety including practicing ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). Flexibility to work overtime/cover at other sites as needed, on-call and holiday rotation mandatory.Up to 10K Sign On Bonus Available!**Job Description:****Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:** • Obtains and documents necessary patient information/history in order to perform appropriate exam. • Documents all pertinent information involving the use of IV/oral contrast in medical record, and obtain accurate allergy information. • Performs all CT exams with 100% accuracy. • Begins and completes exams utilizing the RIS with 100% accuracy, 98-100%of the time. • Uses CT work list with 100% accuracy i.e. correct patient demographics, accession number. • Properly QCs exams using PACS system. • Properly evaluates images for Diagnostic purposes/recognizing anatomy and pathology for need of additional scan. • Practices ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). • Accurately follows department clinical protocols and standards, including but not limited to Post-processing. • Readily and willingly contributes to team approach to provide optimal quality care for patients, on-call and holiday rotation. • Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and colleagues. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Department of Public Health: Radiation Control Program in the specialties in which the technologist practices. Maintains licensure on an annual basis. If currently trained in CT, must obtain CT certification within 12 months of employment. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Candidate must be proficient in cross sectional anatomy. Candidate must be proficient in the use CT Scanners, Power injector, Venipuncture and mobile scanner or in the absence of this skill the ability to be trained to a level of competency and obtain certification within 18 months of completing training. Experience: One year in a trauma setting. Previous experience in a trauma center/ Prior experience with RIS/PACS preferred.**Physical Nature of the Job:**Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally an/or 50 pounds of force frequently. work is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing and/or moving.**Pay Range:**$48.00 – $71.33The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
