Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Iowa seeks a CT Tech to join the imaging team. The position features an evening shift with 4-10 hour days (roughly 12:30p–11:00p) and rotation for weekends/holidays, plus on-the-job training for new grads.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).
• Previous CT experience preferred. CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB) preferred.
• Maintains active registry status.
• Maintains current state of employment Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification

Responsibilities

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients.
• Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order.
• Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity.
• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Education

Two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB)

CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB)

Active radiology registry

State license to practice Radiology Technologist

Mandatory Reporter abuse training (within 3 months)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
