Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Radiology Department in the Cleveland area. You will produce high-quality CT images and assist with CT-guided procedures while coordinating scheduling for inpatients and outpatients.

The position is a night shift with 60 biweekly hours over 5x12hr shifts (7p–7a), weekends every other Sunday, and on-call duties. External applicants may receive a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• ARRT CT credential or within one year of employment.
• Ohio Radiographer License (ODH) valid.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality CT images in various settings.
• Assist with CT guided procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
• Schedule and coordinate imaging for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to ensure understanding.
• Collaborate with CT team and care staff to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain safety and accuracy under supervision.

Personnel CT Tech will work with

• The CT staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.

• All CT scanners are ACR Accredited
• Brand new Siemens edge and dual source Force scanner
• Fuji 256 ED specific unit
• GE PET scanner 256
• All CT Technologists credentialed through ARRT
• Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing CT (Computed Tomography) scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans.
• Provides a safe and supporting care environment for patients undergoing procedures involving the use of CT, while assisting the radiologists and nursing staff during those procedures.
• Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.

Physical Requirements

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
