Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a flexible PRN Radiologic Technologist to support CT and radiography duties within the department. The role requires arranging patient positioning, imaging procedures, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with staff to deliver accurate results and maintain patient comfort. Must have accredited radiologic technology training and ARRT credentials, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications required or in progress per policy.
• Basic Life Support certification required; instructor level preferred.
• Minimum radiology experience with CT and conventional imaging.
• Ability to explain procedures clearly and obtain patient cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of CT and radiographic procedures with independent judgment.
• Prepare patients, position them, and operate imaging equipment safely.
• Verify orders, ensure patient identification, and maintain privacy and dignity.
• Monitor for adverse reactions to contrast and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Assist with quality control, RIS/PACS workflow, and documentation.
