Job summary

Connecthcs is seeking a dedicated CT Technician for a 100+ bed healthcare facility in Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. You will review patient history, explain procedures, and assist with contrast administration while ensuring safety and comfort.

Key duties include positioning, image acquisition, quality checks, and communicating scan results to the physician. Night shifts available with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice.
• Registered with ARRT in Radiology and CT.
• BLS required.
• Two-year certificate or higher degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and orders; educates patients on procedures and equipment.
• Prepares and administers contrast media within scope of practice; monitors patient and responds to changes.
• Prepares equipment; selects exposure factors; performs quality control and reports malfunctions.
• Implements safety standards and resolves imaging quality issues; positions patient for imaging.

Our client, a 100+ bed healthcare facility located within 2 hrs of Great Smoky Mountains area of TN, within an hour of Knoxville and Chattanooga, has a need for CT Techs to join their team.

They are offering a $10,000 Sign On Bonus!

Shifts Available:

1. Night shift Mon-Wed 7p-7a
2. Night shift Thurs & Fri 11p-7a, Sat & Sun 7p-7a

A Cat Scan Technician who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.

• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology and Computed Tomography; BLS required.

Two-year certificate, associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree.
