Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Technologist Aide to join a dedicated team at our imaging centers. You will greet patients, register them, collect copays, verify information, and notify arrivals while coordinating with the care team to keep appointments on schedule.

You will assist technologists, maintain sterilization, safeguard patient information and medications, and uphold professional conduct with patients and staff in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office work experience is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, collect copays, and verify patient information; notify arrival and reschedule delays to ensure timely care.
• Obtain proper insurance/authorizations and patient information; collect signatures and ensure documentation is complete.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments; confirm and notify staff of changes.
• Ensure equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before every patient exam.
• Assist technologists with patients and safeguard patient information and property.
• Safeguard on-site medications per company policy and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate respectful, professional behavior toward patients and coworkers; maintain patient boundaries and cultural sensitivity.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting; build cooperative working relationships.

When you join us as a Technologist Aide you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Greet, register, collect copays, and verify all patient information. Assist team members by notifying patient arrival. Communicate delays in appointments in a timely fashion and offers rescheduling for timely and effective care of patients;
• Obtain proper insurance/authorizations and patient information, collects signatures and ensures accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
• Schedules, reschedules or cancels new or current patients, confirms appointments and notifies staff of changes when necessary.
• Ensure that equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before every patient exam.
• Assist technologists with patients
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

Pay Range: $16.50-$21.50/hour
