Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform all CT procedures, handle patient care, and ensure safety per ALARA standards. You will operate imaging equipment, manage records, and participate in ongoing education and quality initiatives.

The role requires ARRT registered radiographer status, CT certification within 12 months, and BLS within 30 days of hire, with experience in Radiology and preferred CT experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered radiographer (ARRT).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT certification in CT within 12 months of hire.
• Previous experience in Radiology; CT experience preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and collects information for procedures.
• Performs all CT procedures.
• Observes patient conditions and safety.
• Transfers/positions patient safely.
• Adheres to ALARA radiation safety standards.
• Operates electronic information systems.
• Compiles records to expedite results.
• Administers contrast media as required.
• Participates in continuing education for ARRT CE requirements.
• Involves in Quality Control/Quality Improvement.
• Initiates patient teaching with family or significant others.
