Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging to join our imaging services team. You will perform computed tomography procedures, ensure patient safety, and uphold the organization’s standards of practice and patient care.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage as needed, equipment preparation, appropriate contrast administration, and maintaining QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiology program completion required.
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) credentials as required by state law.
• Registered in computed tomography (CT) by ARRT within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures and analyzes images.
• Identifies image quality issues and repositions or repeats procedures as clinically required.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control on equipment.
• Administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes; reviews history and orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding.
