Qualifications

• Perform high-quality radiographic and CT imaging studies in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and diagnostic accuracy.
• Complete required education and maintain licensure and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic procedures following unit-based standards of practice.
• Position patients, set exposure factors, and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Utilize immobilization devices and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare contrast media and administer when permitted by policy.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure cooperation.

Skills

Strong knowledge of radiographic and CT protocols and safety standards

Excellent communication and patient-care skills

Current Louisiana radiographer licensure

CT certification

Approved CT training program

Education
