Job summary

St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, NY seeks a Cat Scan Technologist to operate CT scanners, select technical factors, and ensure safe, accurate imaging. You will work with radiologists and clinical staff to deliver high-quality studies.

Requirements include NYS radiologic license with injection permit, ARRT registration or eligibility, and familiarity with PACS and MediTech RIS. Strong attention to patient care and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for Radiologic Technology.
• Licensed for New York State in Radiologic Technology including permit for injections.
• Registered or eligible by ARRT; advanced certification preferred.
• Understands written and verbal instructions.
• Manual dexterity for manipulating function of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Select proper technical factors for examinations.
• Access IV site and administer the contrast media.
• Prepare oral contrast.
• Knowledge of PACS; sending images and scanning documents.
• Reconstruct/post process images according to protocols.
• Dispose of biomedical waste using CDC and OSHA guidelines.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Maintain registration with ARRT including CE credits.
• Proficient in the use of MediTech (RIS).
