Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, ensure diagnostic quality, and support interventional procedures. The role requires ARRT CT certification within 9 months, NJ radiology license, and BLS within 60 days.

Strong communication and computer skills are essential, with on-call duties and potential night shifts. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (CT) certification within 9 months of starting.
• NJ state license for Diagnostic Radiology.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within 60 days of entering position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Performs complex CT procedures.
• Evaluates radiographs for proper identification and diagnostic quality.
• Prepare scanning protocols and patient safety based on medical records and conditions.
• Determine patient preparation for procedures and perform padding/shielding as needed.
• Assist with CT-guided interventional procedures and contrast administration.
• Explain procedures clearly and address patient questions.
• Perform venipuncture and monitor patient condition during procedures.
• Review images for diagnostic value and determine if further scans are needed.
• Maintain documentation in EPIC, PACS, and other hospital systems.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and safety protocols.
• On-call assignments and irregular shifts as required.
