General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is seeking a CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist to join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

Schedule: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Responsibilities:
  • Operate diagnostic equipment to produce CT images of internal organs for medical evaluation.
  • Explain procedures to patients, gather medical histories, and assist patients in positioning for scans.
  • Administer contrast media (IV, oral, rectal) according to protocols and monitor patients during injections.
  • Prepare patients, review records, and ensure proper exam procedures.
  • Enter patient and exam data into the system, prepare reports, and maintain records.
  • Assist Radiologists with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages.
  • Ensure a sterile environment and maintain imaging equipment and supplies.
  • Support training of new staff and students, and ensure accurate data entry for billing and records.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of competency-based CT training.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • ARRT registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

This position offers a hiring range of $38.48 - $62.52 per hour.
