Cone Health Medical Group's Radiology department is seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-quality patient care during CT procedures, following approved workflows and protocols under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include operating CT scanners, adhering to protocols to minimize dose, documenting in CHI and PACS, educating patients, and upholding ALARA principles to ensure safe, accurate imaging. The role is relief (PRN) with days/evenings and no weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Radiology/imaging program graduate.
• Licensure/certification per ARRT/NMTCB required (CT). BLS/CPR required.

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working under direct supervision, this position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.

Essential Job Function

• Operates head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
• Performs routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within established benchmarks.
• Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow.
• Educates and prepares patients for their examinations to enhance patient understanding and cooperation during testing and promote a positive patient experience.
• Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
