Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions is currently seeking Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists to support operations at the VA New Jersey Health Care System in Toms River, NJ. The role involves performing CT imaging studies and ensuring high-quality exams across multiple shift schedules.

The position requires ARRT certification, active licensure, and VA credentialing. Candidates will work with PACS/VA systems, adhere to radiation safety standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
• Active unrestricted Radiologic Technology license (U.S.) required.
• Minimum 3 years CT imaging experience.
• English language proficiency required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• VA credentialing, training, and background requirements must be completed.
• Ongoing continuing education and competency validation required.
• No sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain exams.
• Perform diagnostic imaging studies according to departmental protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure image quality.
• Position patients properly and maintain radiation safety standards.
• Monitor patients during examinations and report changes to physician.
• Prepare contrast agents and administer imaging-related medications when authorized.
• Evaluate studies for quality and repeat imaging when appropriate.
• Upload and manage images within PACS and VA systems.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and work areas.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions.
• Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff meetings.
• Document delays and incomplete studies in CPRS.
• Perform advanced CT imaging studies and 3D reconstructions.
• Support Cardiac CT studies if applicable.
• Assist with biopsies, drainages, and CT-guided procedures.

• Track reportable CT radiation doses
• Support Cardiac CT studies if applicable

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Computed Tomography
• Active, unrestricted Radiologic Technology license (U.S.)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in CT imaging
• English language proficiency
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Completion of VA credentialing, training, and background requirements
• Ongoing continuing education and competency validation

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
