Job summary

Providence Swedish Ballard is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform multi-slice CT procedures, start IVs and administer contrast under physician direction in a fast-paced imaging department.

The role emphasizes teamwork, exceptional patient care and applying diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy experience to support the department and patients in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Formal radiologic technology program completed.
• Washington Radiologic Technologist license obtained upon hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association on hire.
• ARRT Radiography certification on hire.
• Within 1 year: CT technologist or Nuclear Medicine certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures with multi-slice scanner and IV access.
• Administer contrast as directed by physician; monitor patient response.
• Maintain exemplary customer service and teamwork in imaging suite.
• Carry over radiology tech experience to diagnostic X-ray and Fluoroscopy.

Description

Performs a variety of technical and patient care procedures that require independent judgment utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner. Utilizes power injectors and monitoring equipment. Starts IVs and administers IV, oral, or rectal contrast at the direction of the physician onsite. Provides exemplary customer service. Participates and is engaged in a team framework and maintains a positive approach and attitude. Continues to use their radiology technology experience doing diagnostic X-ray and Fluoroscopy work.

Required Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program.
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Within 1 year of hire National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography or
• Within 1 year of hire National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with one-year in a CT Scan department preferred.
