Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in San Francisco seeks a full-time CT/Radiologic Technologist to join our outpatient radiology team. You will perform CT procedures and radiographs while following department protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will obtain patient history, explain procedures, operate and regulate equipment, and document PACS imaging. State RT/CT registration, ARRT credentials, and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Requires registration as a Certified Radiologic and Computerized Tomography Technologist by the State.
• Requires registration as an RT and CT Technologist by the ARRT.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns.
• Produces CT scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by departmental procedures.
• Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops and documents PACS imaging.
• Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and facility staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Obtains patienthistory, explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns.
• Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures.
• Performs thoseduties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology.
• Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops and documents PACS imaging.
• Operates equipmentsafely and maintains SimonMed standards while performing call types ofprocedures.
• Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and facility staff.
• Familiar withstandard concepts, practices and procedures.
• Relies on experienceand judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires registration as a Certified Radiologic and Computerized Tomography Technologist by the State
• Requiresregistration as an RT and CT Technologist by the A.R.R.T.
• SimonMed Imaging requires valid hands on CPR certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
