Job summary

A leading recovery hospital in San Diego is seeking a CT Technologist to join their team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $50 to $70. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, operating a CT scanner, and monitoring for adverse events. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a registered radiologic technologist, a current state license, and ARRT or CMRT certification. Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience as a registered radiologic technologist with a current state license.
  • At least 1 year as a CT technologist (not including school).
  • Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current with continuing education in all fields of licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process.
  • Use proper positioning to produce quality diagnostic studies.
  • Operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images.
  • Administer contrast media as directed.
  • Monitor patients for adverse drug events.
  • Perform routine quality assurance on equipment.
  • Perform clerical duties as needed.

Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $50/hr - $70/hr

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
  • Use proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
  • Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross‑sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
  • Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
  • Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
  • Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
  • Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years experience as a registered radiologic technologist and hold current state license (as required).
  • At least 1 year experience as a CT technologist (not including school).
  • Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating facility‑specific equipment desirable.
