Role Description

The CT Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based at Prattville Baptist Hospital in Prattville, AL. This role is responsible for performing CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and positioning patients, operating CT equipment, monitoring image quality, and documenting procedures in the electronic health record. The CT Technologist collaborates with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to support timely and accurate diagnosis while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Additional responsibilities include adhering to radiation safety guidelines, maintaining equipment, following infection control standards, and participating in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education activities.

Qualifications

• Certification and credentials: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration and compliance with all applicable licensure requirements.
• Technical expertise: Proficiency in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, including CT imaging procedures and use of related equipment and software.
• Safety and clinical knowledge: Strong understanding of Radiation Safety practices and foundational knowledge of Medicine as it relates to diagnostic imaging.
• Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or CT program; additional CT certification preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience as a CT Technologist or Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting is highly beneficial.
• Core skills: Attention to detail, strong critical-thinking skills, effective communication with patients and colleagues, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional qualities: Commitment to patient-centered care, adherence to ethical and regulatory standards, and willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
