  • CT proficiency is facility-specific.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Performs routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Overview

CT Technologist role at TieTalent / Adventist Health Portland Imaging and Diagnostic Team. This position involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images used for diagnosis, and performing a variety of imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities
  • Operates CT equipment and produces cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images.
  • Uses PACS and teleradiology to transfer images to the appropriate location.
  • Maintains accurate records, files and billing information; adheres to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  • Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
  • Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
  • Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR
  • Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
  • ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required
  • Computed Tomography (CT): Required (Facility Specific)
