Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to perform Diagnostic Radiography, CT, Mammography, Bone Density, and Ultrasound procedures per department protocols. You will be the first line interface with patients and support imaging needs.

Responsibilities include PI/QC involvement, assisting in Performance Improvement, overseeing radiology operations in the manager's absence, and ensuring images are correctly transmitted to PACS; strong teamwork

Qualifications

• State licensure and fluoroscopy permit is required.
• National certifications in two modalities required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound or special procedures per department protocols.
• Functions as the first line interface with customers and meets imaging needs.
• Oversees radiology area and staff in manager/director absence; maintains supplies.
• Transmits images to PACS and participates in PI/QC activities.

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultra Sound or Special Procedures according to department protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/ QC activities. Assists in Maintaining Performance Improvement Program. Oversees radiology area and/or staff in Manager's / Director's absence. Maintains department supplies. Promotes teamwork and good customer service.. Does scheduling for assigned sub departments and maintains supplies and equipment for assigned sub department. Responsible for Processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Effective July 1, 2017 appropriate national certifications in two modalities required3. Current BCLS (AHA).
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.5. One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred6. Proficient computer skills.
