Job summary

Baptist Health Memphis is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with radiology practice standards to aid in diagnosis and treatment. You will ensure high-quality images through proper technique and positioning.

The role requires ARRT registration in Radiography (R) with CT registry preferred, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. You will maintain equipment and participate in performance improvement activities to uphold patient safety and care

Qualifications

• ARRT Registry in Radiography (R) required.
• Registry in CT (ARRT) CT preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures according to radiology practice standards and utilizes appropriate technique and positioning.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan following hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes required documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a safe condition for patients and staff.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure care aligns with standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Job description

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatment, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all CT competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R) required. Registry in CT ARRT (CT) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Special Skills

• Basic computer literacy skills.

Licensure
