Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• One year hospital experience preferred but not required.
• ARRT license required; CT certification or CT experience; Kansas LRT license.
• CPR certification (BLS/Health Care Provider) obtained within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Produce radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered, following established practices.
• Operate radiologic equipment to generate high-quality images.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Maintain strict radiation safety practices and use appropriate exposure protocols.

Job Location: CENTRAL KANSAS CANCER CENTER - MANHATTAN, KS 66502

Position Type: Full Time - 32 hrs or more per week

Job Shift: Days - 8 hr shifts

The CT/Diagnostic Technologist produces radiographs of designated anatomical areas as order/directed, according to established practices and procedures on all patient populations (infant through geriatric). The CT/Diagnostic Technologist will exhibit superior levels of customer service. The CT/Diagnostic technologist effectively operates equipment to produce quality images. The technologist explains procedures to the patient, demonstrates and uses appropriate protocols and obtains optimum images of specified anatomy. The technologist demonstrates effective radiation safety practices and utilizes numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Minimum Experience

• One-year hospital experience preferred but not required

Required Registration/License/Certification

• American Registry of Radiology (ARRT) license
• CT Certification or CT experience
• Kansas License for Radiology Technology (LRT)
• CPR certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support [American Red Cross-CPR for the Professional Rescuer] or Basic Life Support [American Heart Association-Health Care Provider] obtained within first 90 days of employment)
