Job Summary
CT Technologist – assists interventional radiologists with various procedures such as biopsies, drain placements, aspirations, injections, cryo and microwave ablations. Responsibilities include administering contrast, operating a MedRad power injector, managing CT scanning equipment, maintaining a clean environment, and assisting patients on and off the scanner table.
Responsibilities
- Administer oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam.
- Load and operate a MedRad power injector.
- Operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; follow physician protocols.
- Assist interventional radiologists with procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment and stock department supplies and linens.
- Move, lift, and assist patients on and off the scanner table.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 7 days of employment start.
- ARRT-R Radiography certification.
- ARRT-CT or CT certification (or equivalent).
