Job summary

UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Radiology Department. The role focuses on performing CT scans with high precision, preparing and positioning patients, and monitoring responses to contrast materials in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has ARRT CT certification, an Iowa permit to practice, and BLS. Weekend shifts are offered, with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits as part of UnityPoint Health’s Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Active Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
• Current ARRT CT board registry is required or must obtain CT board registry within 24 months from date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans with precision and care.
• Prepare and position patients ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer contrast materials as required and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff for optimal patient outcomes.

• Associates of Applied Science - Radiologic Technology Program

Certification/License

• Active, Permit to Practice from the Iowa Dept. of Public Health
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must obtain CT board registry 24 months from date of hire
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
