Advocate Health Care in Illinois seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform procedures using GE CT systems, including post-processing and adherence to protocols. The role involves coordinating patient scheduling, QA testing, and ensuring safety and accuracy in imaging and documentation.
The ideal candidate has ARRT RT, IDNS license, CPR, and CT registration within 1 year, with 12–24 months radiology experience and strong communication skills.
Performs Computed Tomography procedures utilizing General Electric Revolution, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, and HD750 Computerized Tomography Systems according to established operating procedures, clinical protocols, and imaging techniques.

Coordinates the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients to ensure efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel.
Performs Quality Assurance Tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
Obtains patient history and other relevant clinical information; documents all patient information on appropriate forms in preparation for review and dictation by a radiologist.
Starts IVs using appropriate technique, prepares and administers contrast material, and monitors patient condition during the CT procedure.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
CT Registration within 1 year of date of hire
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Addendum: -8 hours of stroke education/year
