Job summary

We are seeking a CT Technologist at UVM Medical Center, part of the University of Vermont Health Network, located in Burlington, VT. The role involves performing CT procedures under Radiologist supervision, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

On-the-job CT training is available for ARRT-certified candidates; board certification within 12 months of hire is expected. Schedule features five 8-hour shifts per pay period, with weekday and overnight options and no current call

Qualifications

  • ARRT CT certification preferred; CT board certification required within 12 months of hire.
  • Graduate from CAHEA/JRCT-approved Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures under Radiologist supervision with emphasis on patient safety and imaging quality.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with CT protocols and calibration; ensure accurate positioning and use of ionizing radiation.
  • Maintain documentation and collaborate with team to support patient experience and throughput.

Job Description:

The CT Technologist performs a variety of computerized tomographic procedures under the supervision of the Radiologist, utilizing knowledge of ionizing radiation and computer techniques. Our CT Tech demonstrates concern for patients and co-workers at all times. CT Technologist is one who successfully acquired certification in CT.

Education:

Graduate from school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), CT certification preferred. This position requires verification of your college transcript. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited for an interview CT board certification required within 12 months of hire.

Experience:

While experience in CT or a related radiology position is preferred, UVM Medical Center offers on-the-job CT training to candidates with active ARRT certification. Education materials are provided, and the cost of the CT certification exam is reimbursed after successfully passing the exam. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

Schedule:

This position is scheduled for five 8-hour shifts per pay period. Weekday shifts are 3pm-11pm or 4pm-12am. Every other weekend, this position is scheduled for 11pm-7am. While call is not required at this time, this may change if the need arises.

Sign-ON Bonus & Relocation Assistance:

External candidates who have not worked within the network in the past year are eligible for a hiring bonus based on experience - bonuses for part-time new hires are between $3,000 and $7,500 (based on 20 hours/week scheduled hours) and are paid out over a few installments.

Candidates joining us from a distance that is greater than 120 miles from their previous role and home are eligible for relocation assistance up to $3000.
