CommonSpirit Health in Bryan, TX seeks a CT Technologist to capture diagnostic CT images and support radiologists in accurate diagnoses. You will position patients, operate CT scanners, and ensure a compassionate patient experience throughout the imaging process.

Required: accredited Radiology program, 1 year Radiology experience, ARRT credentials (Radiography) and CT certification within 9 months. Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiology program.
• 1 year of Radiology experience.
• ARRT(R) Radiography certification.
• ARRT(CT) certification within 9 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Operate CT scanners and related equipment following radiation safety procedures.
• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment.
• Assist radiologist with interventional CT imaging procedures and contrast administration if needed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in accordance with policies.
• Communicate with staff and Radiologists to ensure a smooth workflow.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.


• Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience and not operational rivalries or roadblocks to care.


• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.


• Assist radiologist with interventional CT imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.


• Maintains equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures.


• Establishes and maintains lines of communication with all other staff members and Radiologists to ensure an effective and harmonious working environment.

Job Requirements

• Must have completed an accredited Radiology program


• One (1) year experience in Radiology


• Medical Radiographer: TX (MRT)


• BLS - CPR within 14 days of hire


• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT(R))


• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (ARRT(CT)) within 9 months of hire

Pay Range

$32.30 - $48.05 /hour
