Intermountain Health's Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado seeks a CT Technologist to join our Radiology team. This 36-hour weekly role is four 9-hour shifts, Mon-Thu, 11:00am-8:30pm, focusing on CT imaging.

You will maintain ARRT competency, operate CT equipment, ensure patient safety, and support education of students and colleagues while keeping patient care central.

Formación

• ARRT (R) CT certification required on hire.
• BLS certification within 60 days expected.
• Colorado licensure upon hire or as applicable.
• 1–2 years CT hospital experience preferred for Level I.
• Level II requires 3+ years CT experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain ARRT competency across CT exam functions.
• Operate CT equipment and ensure quality images.
• Verify patient ID, verify orders and prepare patient for exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality and ensure all anatomical structures are captured.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with care team.
• Stay updated on CT technology and protocols.

Good Samaritan Hospital is a community-based, acute-care hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. We opened on December 1, 2004, and are part of Intermountain Health, a nonprofit health system. Essential Functions:

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job
• Understand and operate CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure production of quality images.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring that all necessary anatomical structures are captured.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limitations per department expectations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.
• Provide appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient and/or family concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.

Level I Technologist Minimum Qualifications:

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire, Required
• Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT), Preferred
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days, Required
• Licensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire, Required
• IV Competency within 90 Days, Required
• For caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification, Preferred
• Specific facility-based certification may also be required for this role. If this applies, each facility will define and manage compliance
• 1-2 years Work Experience CT Experience in a hospital setting, Preferred

Level II Technologist Minimum Qualifications:

• Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire (with prior approval).
• Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.
• Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist, preferred.
